Weekly Update – 5th October

What a week it has been. I have begun sharing my story of how I became a Christian and been led by God to both St Paul’s and St Nicholas’ churches. The final talk will be Monday 6th October at St Nicholas church, 7-8:30pm. All are welcome.

Historically Sarah Mullally becomes the first female archbishop of the Church of England. We hold her in prayer.

Hatred and violence against Jewish people continues as two worshippers were killed on the most holiest of days in the Jewish calendar – Yom Kippur. We offer our prayers for all the victims, their families and the Manchester community at this time. Wounds that existed already will only have been reopened.

At St Nicholas church, we begin a seven-week sermon series on “The Message of the Cross” during our 10am services. Whilst we know the end result is a message of love, the journey begins with the near sacrifice of a child. If you are able to join us at each service until Advent please do.

A reminder that St Nicholas church is opened Monday – Friday if you would like to pray for others or light a candle.
