Weekly Update – 5th April

Well it’s very strange to be writing this, but if you don’t already know me, I’m Faye, St Nicholas’ new Youth and Children’s Leader! I just wanted to come on here and celebrate the success of Experience Easter held last week.

Experience Easter is an interactive opportunity to experience the events of Holy Week with accompanying prayer activities; it’s a real deep-dive into the Easter Story with parts that the children don’t necessarily learn about at school.

We hosted over 180 year 5 (9-10 year old) students from Palace Wood, Brunswick House and Allington Primary as well as the lovely members of St Nicholas Fellowship.

For those who haven’t had the opportunity to see one of these events in action, they take a serious amount of manpower and I can’t thank our volunteers enough for all of their hard work, I absolutely couldn’t do it without them.

Speaking of which, our next school event is Year 6 Reflection Space at the end of June, so if anybody would like to join the team, I have plenty of roles to offer and would be grateful for the support.
