Rev Chris weekly update

Dear all,

Apologies for all the attachments this week but isn’t it great that there is a lot going on despite the current difficulties. This coming Sunday will see the service at St Nicholas benefit from a choir to sing the hymns.

Here is a selection of events;

Tuesday Café starts again at St Nicholas this week, the 27th, and will operate fortnightly, subject to church availability. Maidstone Borough Council registration makes this possible, in accordance with Government guidelines. Booking details are on the Services & Events attachment.
Sunday 25th – Encounter Worship with Jackie – view the uplifting song WHO YOU SAY I AM by Hillsong.

Worship Hub is on Wednesday – join Jackie, on Zoom, to talk about your favourite worship songs.

On Sunday 1st November, amongst the detailed services there will be a Commemoration Service at 2.30pm – being All Souls Day this is a time to remember those that have died over the last year. Usually I hold a public service and invite families to attend, however the logistics make this difficult at present so I will hold a time of private prayer, in St Nicholas Church, at which I will read out the names of all those whose funerals I have conducted in the last 12 months – if you wish to add the name of a loved one to that list please let me know by the end of this week.
CHRISTMAS MARKET 5th December @ St Nicholas – see attachment for details. Please can you donate bottles, chocolate, unwanted gifts, toys, books etc for the hampers and the stalls. These can also be left on The Rectory doorstep, or ring Sarah Lavender (01622 297307) and she will collect.
CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL 18TH December @ St Nicholas – please see attached flyer for details of the event and how to enter a tree.
Every blessing,

Rev Chris
