Rev Chris update for 28th February, 2021
Dear all,
The weather has been pretty good, and the daffodils are out – yay!! A road map from the government and falling infection and death rates with increased vaccination rollout – it feels like we are truly getting there, although there is clearly no place for complacency as there are still challenges, and we have to recognise that many people’s lives have been significantly affected.
The 23rd March will be the anniversary of the beginning of lockdown. We will be marking that as a significant point in time for the nation, at St Nicholas Church. During the week 22nd – 26th March the church will be open as usual during the day, but we will develop the space to help us to reflect on all that has happened. We are also inviting you to contribute to that by sending us digital images/pictures that say something about the last year (please be aware that such images will be put into the public domain) – email your images to stnicsparish@hotmail.com
Public Worship will re-commence in church on Easter Sunday, although our online offering will certainly continue. Restrictions will continue until government guidelines allow otherwise, and this will include the need to book in advance if you wish to attend a service. For now, I attach our Services & Events page with details to the middle of March. Please note our continuing offering of our Lent Course based on songs, and themes, from The Greatest Showman – the next evening is on Wednesday 3rd at 7pm.
Every blessing,
Rev Chris
