Rev Chris update 18th October

Dear all,

Attached is our Services & Events schedule to the end of this month and the weekly Prayer Space details, as well as details regarding Jackie Wilkinson’s Encounter Worship service and her next Worship Hub event.

I am sure that we are all aware of the situation regarding certain areas of the country and the stringent restrictions they are facing. Please keep them in your prayers as there will be local economies that will suffer. Please also hold those on furlough in prayer as we move towards the end of the month and the implications of the wider furlough scheme ending.

It is impossible to predict what will take place in the coming weeks, and further restrictions could impact events accordingly, but I will keep you informed of what we are doing in these weekly notices. In the meantime, let me to bring the following to your attention;

St Andrew’s Children Society box holders can now pass their boxes to Tony Deane (or ask him to collect them).
The Vine Food Bank are preparing Christmas parcels – see photo below. Please keep the donations coming by leaving them on The Rectory doorstep.
Christmas Market @ St Nicholas 5th December – Please can you donate bottles, chocolate, unwanted gifts, toys, books etc for the hampers and the stalls. These can also be left on The Rectory doorstep, or ring Sarah Lavender (01622 297307) and she will collect.
Poppies – don’t’ forget to ‘make a poppy’ for our display at St Nicholas for Remembrance. Guess what, these can also be left on The Rectory doorstep!!
Tuesday Café is making a return on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday’s. This has been made possible as it is registered with Maidstone Borough Council under Health & Hygiene regulations. Rule of six guidelines will apply and booking is required (please see Services & Events attached for details)

Blessings,

Rev Chris
