DIOCESE We pray for those who are being ordained Deacon on Saturday by Bishop Rose in Canterbury Cathedral.

Please will you equip them, along with all those who are ordained and minister in this diocese, to lead after the pattern of Jesus, coming not to be served but to serve.

‘Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever’ 1 Chronicles 16:34
Dear Lord, help us to remember you each day and to give thanks for all that is good in our lives. Let us not forget the wonders of your creation, the beauty around us, the gift of life, friends and family. You, Lord, are the source of all we have, You are the unchanging centre of our lives, we rejoice in your love. Thank you that You are with us no matter what the circumstances, your love is unconditional. May we be constantly thankful not just on Thank you day.
‘ I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name for ever. For great is Your love towards me.’ Psalm 86:12
We pray too that the world may come to know You by our love. Help us to come together and love each other instead of struggling against one another because of our differences. Teach us to love like You do. We ask that You give us a heart of compassion for those suffering in the world, help us to intercede for them and not give up, holding onto the hope that one day they will come to know You.
‘ May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God Our Father….encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.’ 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
