Prayers – March 2025

“Be joyful always; pray continually: give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you.” 1 Thess. 5:16-18

As we reach the end of our Interregnum, we give You our thanks for being with us, leading & guiding us over the past 2 years. Thank you for those who have worked tirelessly to lead Your Church and for the support & encouragement of Canon Liz, Rev Julian & the congregation.

We pray, Lord, that You will be with Rev Claude as she joins St Nic’s & St Paul’s. Give her wisdom, discernment & understanding. We pray that You will give us all the courage and strength to live as citizens of Heaven, behaving in a manner worthy of the Gospel.

Empower us to stand firm in Your promises, to fight for unity in our communities and to be fearless in our faith. Please, Lord, equip us to resist the pressures of the world and to embody Your love in all that we do.

We pray for our world, for those places where war, famine, natural disasters are destroying people’s lives. We ask You to raise up peacemakers, men & women who will strive to bring an end to hostilities.
“ Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord and He will repay him for his deed.” Proverbs 19:17

May we treat the world with respect, taking only what we need & showing generosity to those who have so little. We have been blessed with so much, May we never forget that all we have comes from You, teach us to hold our possessions lightly, not to find our security in worldly things but in treasure that lasts, our relationship with Jesus.

May Your people be a beacon of hope & ambassadors for Your Kingdom
We pray for all those who are sick or anxious, please bring them Your comfort, give them peace, hope and help them to trust in You.
