‘O Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You and praise Your name, for in perfect faithfulness You have done marvellous things, things planned long ago.’ Isaiah 25:1
Heavenly Father, we join in this praise to You, not because of a feeling, but consciously choosing to remember You in the midst of our lives. We thank You for Your greatness, and the permanence of Your word…nothing is more reliable, more everlasting or more enduring. Thank You for the confidence we can place in You.
‘You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You.’ Isaiah 26: 3
We pray, Lord, for Your perfect peace to be with us, help us to keep our minds focussed on You, not to be unsettled by earthly situations, but to actively lean on You. May we train our minds to put You first in every situation, to seek Your answers, to trust in You.
We pray for all those who are living in places of turmoil, Ukraine, Yemen, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Sri Lanka…..there seems to be so many troubled areas of the world, Lord, We pray for Your peace to come to those countries. Please bring comfort to the people. We pray for those making decisions, give them wisdom, compassion, discernment and guidance. Lord, You are able to thwart the plans of evil men, We ask that their plans come to naught, let them have a revelation of You and seek good for all men.
We pray for the Queen as she approaches her Jubilee, give her strength and health to be able to enjoy this special time. We give thanks for her and for her steadfast commitment to reigning to the best of her ability. We pray for this to be a joyful occasion.
We bring to You all those within our church family, may we grow closer to You and to each other. Let us be a powerful witness to Jesus here in Allington that Your kingdom may come.
‘This is the Lord, we trust in Him; let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation’ Isaiah 25:9b
