Prayers for 13th & 20th June, 2021

PRAYERS
DIOCESE WORLD REFUGEE DAY (20th June)
On World Refugee Day we pray for all those who have had to flee from homes, families and countries due to oppression, fear, violence, climate change or any other reason.
We give thanks for all those in our diocese, cathedral and elsewhere who help those seeking asylum. Lord Jesus, born as a refugee, be with those who are forced from their homelands, and those who have left loved ones to seek sanctuary and safety.
Strengthen us, O Lord, as your church to welcome the stranger and work with our partner agencies to bring hope to the lost and the lonely.
We pray this in the name of God, who creates, sustains, and redeems all his beloved children. Amen.
