PRAYER FOR EASTER
‘ He is not here; He has risen! Remember how He told you, while He was still with you in Galilee:’ The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and the third day be raised again.’ Luke 24: 6-7
Heavenly Father, as we observe each day over this period leading up to Easter, may we become even more aware of Your Majesty, wonder and love, shown to us through the death and resurrection of Your Son, Jesus. Thank you for sending us Jesus as the ultimate sacrifice, so we can be in relationship with You. May we have eyes that look upon Your Grace and rejoice in our salvation. Show us how to repent of the things that try to keep us from your love. We thank You, Father, that there is not a thing that can separate us from Your love. Father, help us to walk in that mighty Grace and tell Your Good News to the world and to each individual we meet who needs your love. May our hearts, minds, words and actions all glorify You.
We pray, Lord, as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, for all the people in the world who don’t have our freedom. May they come to know Your saving Grace, to have comfort from Your presence and hope for their future. Thank you that no one who reaches out to You is excluded from Your love, You are willing for all who call on Your name to be saved. Please, Lord, have mercy on our world.
