in your passion for the right relating of all that you have made

enable your Church in engagement with her context

PRAYERS

‘Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.’  Matt. 11:29

We thank You Lord for your gentle spirit, especially in these days where there is so much turmoil and dissension. We pray that all people will come to see that there is no peace in following their own desires for distraction, entertainment, or in denying Your existence and thus being unaccountable before You. We pray for those who are ignorant of Your will, may they be told the truth of their responsibility. We also lift up to You those who think they can choose to reconcile with You later in life. You are all powerful, our days are in Your hand, may we live each day keeping right with You.

We give thanks for the growth of Your church around the world, especially in China where believers gather in spite of putting their lives in danger. We thank you for the change of heart in the Egyptian government, for the churches being licensed. Thank you for all those who prayed without ceasing for Egypt, thank you for answering their prayers.

‘Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.’ James 3: 13

‘But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.’ James 3:17-18

We ask, Lord, that You fill us with Your wisdom, trusting in You in every situation. We pray for those who find it difficult to trust You, or who feel unworthy of You. Please give us the words and actions to show You to the world. We pray especially for our government, for the leadership to be sound. We pray for a return to Your ways for our nation that all men may live according to Your will. Also Ukraine and all areas of conflict, be with the brokenhearted, give wisdom to the peacemakers, let Your will be done.

‘And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with Your God.’  Micah 6:8b
