DIOCESE | Listening and Discerning: Seeking for God
Dear God, Our world is busy and noisy and yet we need to listen to you, to seek your voice amongst the many voices clamouring for our attention. Yours is the most important voice. And so we ask that you would help us to hear your voice clearly amidst the background noise, to tune our ears to your frequency, to align our hearts to the beat of yours, to seek ways of being quiet(er) and leaving some of the background noise behind us for a while to hear the clear tones of your gracious words to us. And as we hear your voice coming through, may we discern your will for our lives, for our parishes, for our deaneries, for our diocese, for our world. “Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening” (1 Samuel 3:10) Amen.
