‘Blessed be Your glorious name, may it be exalted above all blessing and praise. You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything and the multitudes of heaven worship You.’ Nehemiah 9: 6

Lord, we join in giving You continuous praise for Your creation. May our lives be filled with thanksgiving for all that we have received from You. Make us aware, Lord, of opportunities to share Your provision with others.

‘If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.’ Romans 12:18

We pray for our neighbours, whoever they may be. May we live at peace with those around us, recognising that we are all individuals with strengths, weaknesses, opinions, fears. We may not agree with each other, but, through Your Holy Spirit show us how to live in peace without conflict.

We lift our nation up to You, Lord, we pray for those in difficult situations, for the conflict between factions. We ask You to be gracious toward us, help Your church to bring healing to our land. Lord, there seems to be so much to divide communities…political views, race, immigration, Covid, food shortages. May we, when possible be peacemakers bringing Your hope and love to our community. You created us all in Your image, help us to see each other as You see us.

‘I now realise how true it is that God does not show favouritism but accepts men from every nation who fear Him and do what is right.’   Acts 10: 34

We pray that we will also realise this truth.p
