‘Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Your Name’

Thank you that we can call you Father, that You have called us into relationship with You. We bring You our praise and worship because You alone are worthy of our praise. Thyank You that from Your place in Heaven You see over the whole of creation, the beauty of the earth and You keep watch over all Your people. As of their freewill, Your angels sing Your praises, may we do the same.

‘Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Thank you for Your Kingdom, we pray that it will continue to grow and be fruitful. We lift up to you all those who don’t know Jesus, we pray for all Ministers, missionaries, churches, that You will guide and strengthen them. We pray, Lord, for peace in Your Kingdom. We confess that we can’t attain a peaceful kingdom without Your Holy Spirit. For all our ingenuity we cannot bring peace to the world. May Your will be done.

‘Give us this day our daily bread’

Thank you, Father, for Your provision for us. May we hold our possessions lightly and remember that You are the source of all we have.

‘Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us’

Father, You freely offer us forgiveness for those sins we commit daily as soon as we confess them to You. We have no merit to attain that forgiveness, it is a free, gracious gift from You. May we not harbour unforgiveness, envy, pride, malice, anger in our hearts against others.

‘Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.’

We ask, Father, that You protect us from anyone who seeks to destroy our spiritual, physical or moral wellbeing. Give us the Grace to keep close to You, guarding our lives from temptation in any form. We are in a battle which Jesus has won.

We pray for all those with anxiety, mental health issues, stresses and strain of life in today’s world. Give them the courage to focus their eyes on You and live free from hopelessness.

‘Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, ‘ The Lord reigns.’ 1 Chronicles 16:31
