‘What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned that will I do.’ Isaiah 46:11b
Lord, we give You thanks and praise for Your steadfast nature, for Your unchanging promises to Your people. As we know You better, Lord, help us to take heart from Your word. All around us may seem chaotic, but Your love and care for us never changes. All You desire is for the very best for us in every circumstance.
We give thanks to You for the constancy, devotion, compassion and steadfastness shown throughout the years by Elizabeth, our Queen. We ask, Lord, that the days she has left will be fulfilling and joyful…that she will be at peace with her family and friends and able to make the most of each day.
‘But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.’ Phil 3:13-14
Heavenly Father, we pray that we may live in the power of Your Holy Spirit, not held back by regrets, fears, anxieties. Help us to put the past behind us, there is so much for which we can feel regret, but You have promised to set us free… from things which keep us bound and ineffective. Give us the Grace to come to You in repentance for all that we’ve done outside of Your will. May we move forward in Your will.
We pray for our country, for stability, for the government to act responsibly that all people may prosper. We also pray for Ukraine, for Russian citizens, for all those who live in trouble spots around the world. For all who are displaced by war, persecution, famine, intolerance. May the peace of Jesus come to rule in men’s hearts that man’s inhumanity to man may cease.
‘Worship the Lord in the splendour of His Holiness; tremble before Him all the earth.’ Psalm 96:9
